Gradient-Domain Bidirectional Path Tracing

Supplemental material - comparisons and results




We compare our gradient-domain bidirectional path tracing (G-BDPT) method to gradient-domain path tracing (G-PT), bidirectional path tracing (BDPT) and path tracing (PT). We show approximately equal time comparisons of all methods. Both G-PT and G-BDPT use the L1 reconstruction. The reference images were rendered with bidirectional path tracing. We measure the error as relative mean square error (relMSE).
